First Trip to Designer Con

Welcome to Designer Con located in Pasadena Convention Center. It was my first time attending Designer Con and totally different feeling I felt compared to CTN Animation Expo. For example, the artistes had more spaces to showcase their artworks and you could actually move throughout the isles without having to bum into anyone. At CTN Animation Expo I felt rushed trying to meet the artists during the CTN event and I was being pushed by people because the walkway isles were small and I felt closed in.

In the first exhibit hall, it was a small open space full of artists who do freelances work for Disney, Nickelodeon, and different companies. In the second exhibition hall, I saw the traditional artist who draws animated characters but there were artists who created foam and fabricated armor from different superhero moves. For example, Batman suit, Marvel's Thor hammer and Hela's helmet from Thor: Ragnarok. I have even seen homemade toys, paper art, the different business selling fabricated equipment, and artworks. Plus, there was more to see but sadly I only manage to go for one day.

Overall I would recommend anyone to go check out Designer Con, but sadly the convention will not be held at Pasadena Convention Center next year. Designer Con will be located at Anaheim Convention Center in November 16th - 18th of 2018.
